A new office for TAB Aberdeen!

Listen to Audio Version:

The Alternative Board (TAB) has secured a new office space in Aberdeen.

TAB Aberdeenshire-East has moved into a new office in Nautilus House at Waterloo Quay Properties (WQP). The new workspace is 397 sq. feet and can hold up to eight people for meetings.

TAB in the Aberdeen area is led by Helen Mill, former director of commercial innovation during a 16-year period at Robert Gordon University, and Jonathan Smith, a former executive with a global energy firm and a winner of the Inspirational Mentor of the Year at the 2019 Elevator Awards.

TAB has 12 boards across Scotland - five in the north-east, three in Glasgow and four in the Edinburgh area. The combined turnover of companies on Scottish TAB boards is £75m.

Helen, TAB owner and board facilitator at TAB in Scotland, said: “Like many other businesses, TAB has reflected on what post-pandemic work looks like and while in Aberdeen we have always worked remotely, with many of our members adopting remote or hybrid working, now is the time for us to have a central point in the heart of the city. I look forward to working from here and making the most of our new space for our monthly board meetings, workshops and taster sessions.”

Jonathan Smith, facilitator and business coach at The Alternative Board in Scotland, said: “The office space will not only make it easier to have a central meeting point, but it will also expand our reach and make others aware of what we do – and we are very much looking forward to what the future holds for Aberdeen and the Shire.”

Scottish TAB boards cover a broad range of sectors including energy, engineering, finance, manufacturing, health, software, transport, retail and marketing.

Waterloo Quay Properties has 11 properties surrounding Aberdeen’s harbour providing virtual offices, co-working desks and meeting and training rooms. There is also a coffee shop bistro, gym and squash courts on-site. Other tenants of WQP include subsea, maritime, energy, healthcare and professional service companies as well as many start-ups.

Anna-Marie Eardley, managing director of Waterloo Quay Properties, has been a member of TAB for over two years.
